At the heart of the Bellevaux-Hirmentaz ski resort, the ‘Jardin des Neiges’ caters for children of 4 and above, with a secure, custom designed centre where they can have fun learning to ski with qualified instructors from the ESF (ski school).
The ‘Jardin des Neiges’ is open during the Christmas and February school holidays.
It’s by having fun and copying others in small groups that children learn best how to ski.
At this age they learn very quickly!
The ESF ski school offers a range of options, including day nursery facilities, so that parents can spend the day or half day skiing.
Price – group lessons :New: For children under 4 years old: 30 minute ‘introduction to skiing’ lesson (3 children maximum) – 23 € (NOT during school holidays).

"Les p'tits Loups" day nursery
The “P’tits Loups” day nursery is located on the slopes of the Bellevaux-Hirmentaz ski area. It caters for children from 6 months to 6 years old, every day, 9am to 12 noon and 1.30 to 5pm.
At weekends (from January) and during the February school holiday, the day nursery stays open from 9am to 5pm.
The staff encourage activities that are both fun and educational, designed to stimulate children and inspire them to express themselves, in keeping with their age, while retaining their individuality. Their partnership with the ESF ski school enables parents to get the most out of the local skiing facilities: special coordinators receive your children at the “P’tits Loups" and take them to the kindergarten where they can have ski lessons.
(Children have a rest and a snack before and after their ski sessions).
Full day and half day care are possible, with a meal (cold or vacuum packed).
